Stage 4- thoughts

 After my research made for creating moodboards and creating them  I have final thoughts. 


He was created in a romantic era and has romantic character traits. Always there's a tragic moment during his life. Even though he's not a human he can become one to function  and to use his environment. He's charming and warm whenever he wants to. 

There has been made a lot of adaptations, with different plots but part of it stays always the same. 

Dracula has became a canon, original, the only one in his kind.

I've decided to make two his bedrooms, with a twist that Dracula and Mina are together and love each other. And both are vampires. I want to show two contrasting things - gothic but warm environment with a secret hidden behind the doors literally, using 3d space and filling it with 3d and 2d objects which I had drawn. I want it to end up somewhere between realism and illustration. 

I want to use hexagonal room as a second, true bedroom hidden behind a shelf with books. 

Hexagonal room was inspired by a romantic castle in north Scotland near where I have been living.

Which is an inspiration for me too.

 Here's my finished sequence. I couldn't render it whole, since it would take a lot of time because there's a lot of light sources in my scene and I didn't really play with retopology, props are high poly and for some reason, I've observed that animated textures which I've used a lot slower everything down too. I didn't want to leave it all as it is, so I've rendered a short part of it- the most important one in my opinion. Stage 6 3d visual

 Later on, I've started creating bedroom using basic shapes in 3D using Blender which I know the most,  to enhance the feel of space and proportions which are very easy to mess up, so it's best to start to correct them from the beginning.  It ended up being the base for my whole project.  I really wanted to keep the 6-wall room, so I did end up with two rooms, which in my case is something that shows two-faced nature of the creature like a vampire-human alike and supernatural, (which has to be hidden from humans) Maybe contradicting itself too.  Unfortunately, I didn't record the process, but it was very simple and I think a lot is the same as my basic idea.  For the timeframe, I chose Victorian Romania like it is in the source text. The castle, which those two rooms are from, exists for a long time and that's why everything's from different time periods.
